Yana is an Israeli artist born in Leningrad, Russia. She holds an M.A. in Conflict Management, Resolution, and Negotiation at Bar-Ilan University. Currently, she is participating in the Studio 18 Residency Program for Independent Artists with the Petach Tikva Museum of Art. For Yana, art is an intuitive exploration. Through her work, she delves into the complexities of the human soul, creating a space for viewers to connect with their inner worlds. She says: “I see the world as chaos - a dark space filled with loneliness. Yet, I fiercely believe in the human spirit and the force of life. I search for my path within the chaos, for structure—this is how I paint. I seek to connect with the most sensitive places of the soul, in the spaces between dreams, madness, and reality, to show people they are not alone in their loneliness. I want to be like Meir Ariel, who connects primal urges, the sacred, and the profane, weaving them seamlessly on the edge of madness. The honest, raw power of his songs is the voice I seek in art. A non-linear narrative, prevailing over fear.”
